Well, to kick off 2006, my hairballs stole my car and disappeared for most of the day. My
car pulled into the garage six hours later and the thieves told mommie that they just went
out cruising. Since mom is living here with Alzheimer's the cats said they could not take
another day at home!
Five weeks later I had enormous charges on my Visa Card statement from the most
expensive Spa in town. When I called to check on the charges they were for my hairballs
i.e. body massages, mud baths, facials, manicures, pedicures, etc.
When I hung up the phone the innocent look on their faces could choke a horse, but the
hairballs couldn't "meow" their way out of this. I sat them at the table to see who was the
ringleader.
Looking around the table it was like playing poker and I was waiting for the first hairball to
"fold".  They all started coughing up small hairballs and I "nailed" Buddy Bee right away.
His bushy tail kept flipping around and gave him away before he could grab it and stuff it
under the chair pillow.  For once Dozer was not the instigator and claimed to only go along
for the "ride", however, he did get a "massage".  Buddy drove the car, stole my credit card
and scheduled the appointments too.
I then threw all the cats in the car and went to the Spa to check on all the "charges" since
many were "questionable".  I dragged them all inside and asked to speak with the owner.
She was very nice and went over the billing statement and did take off the manicure and
pedicure charges since my cats are declawed!  The cats said they didn't get "facials" only
mud baths and massages so the owner apologized profusely and also credited those
charges on my Visa Card also.
When I got home I told the critters that they are under house arrest and will have to do
chores around the house to pay the remaining Spa charges.  They agreed and then
showed me the pictures they took at the Spa to put in their scrap book!  Well, as you can
see for yourself, they had a great day at the Spa.
