Willber
Took Willber into the vet today and the schmuck passed his checkup with flying colors and
I am pleased to announce that he is in perfect health.  He is, however, totally petrified of
the overwhelming attention he is getting from my cats because they have started chewing
at the door to get his attention.  Actually I have to say that my instinct to bring Willber into
the house has alleviated the problems within my pussy group, since they have focused all
their attention on him and now I pity my new hairball.  My guys are totally exhausted by the
end of the day over Willber in the house and I have to carry them to bed at night in a dead
sleep so Tom can open the door to his office and check his email.

Actually, now I am beginning to think that I am freaking brilliant because my hairballs are
sleeping all night through instead of tearing up the house playing with each other all night.
Tomorrow I am getting more stuff for Willber so he knows that he is secure and loved.
Day 3
Got home from the store with a whole set of toys for Willber and he has his own area until
my guys get accustomed to him running around the house. I got some of the "bitter spray"
to put on the door so that my cats stop chewing on it to introduce themselves to him and
Willber can have some peace of mind.  He seems to really be enjoying himself and
settling in which makes me so happy because he is just so freaking cute!
Day 4
I am afraid that I have sad news to report.  Willber died tonight and I think he just "wore
out" from all the attention he got.  After I got him his habitat he was doing so good so we
are all just so shocked.  He was just such a happy little "furball" running around the length
of the tubes throughout the house with the cats "frolicking" in happy pursuit.  I really thought
the life of a HAMSTER was a lot longer.  He would run through all the tubes and then wait
for the cats to catch up then stop when they lost interest; go back and do little somersaults
in front of them to get them back on their feet again to chase him again back and forth
through all the tubes running throughout the house.  Willber was awesome and it makes
me feel better that he had one hell of a time while he was with us.  We are having a funeral
for him tomorrow which will be appropriate because it will be July 4th and we have
fireworks and a party already planned so we can pay a royal tribute to Willber.
P.S.  I tried doing CPR on Willber but it could not revive him and the cats are now
mourning their playmate that they grew to love..
